Change the form of Government...Since 1976 or before, Easley has had a Mayor/Council Form.

"Over the past several weeks, our City Council has been discussing a potential change to Easley’s Form of Government. Specifically, some members are advocating for moving from our current 'Mayor–Council' system to a 'Council' form of government.
Under this proposal, the legislative role currently held by the council would shift into an administrative role, meaning department heads would ultimately report to 7 elected officials.
According to SC law.....(THE ONLY DISQUALIFICATION) person convicted of a felony or an offense against the election laws is not qualified to file for or hold office, unless it has been fifteen years since the completion of the sentence for the crime or unless the person has been pardoned.
NO DEGREE, NO YEARS OF EXPERIENCE, NO FIELD OF EXPERTISE, BUT 7 PEOPLE TELLING EMPLOYEES WHAT, WHERE AND WHEN TO DO THEIR JOB? = CATASTROPHY!!!
